1.    How many years have you been in business?

3 years

2.   How did you get your start and what was your initial inspiration?

  Education By SR was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic when I realized that many children were missing out on the in-person educational experience. As a highly qualified and experienced educator with a Masters in early childhood general and special education, I was inspired to create a business that would provide personalized learning plans for children to help them reach their full potential. With the disruptions caused by the pandemic, I saw an opportunity to offer my expertise and support to families who were looking for alternatives to traditional classroom learning. 

3. What do you feel differentiates you from others in your field?

What sets us apart from others in our field is the highly curated and customized approach we take to everything we do, from the way we work with a child to the way we communicate with parents, and everything in between. We believe that every child is unique and deserves a personalized learning plan tailored to their specific needs and goals. Whether your child needs extra support in a particular subject or is looking for an enrichment program, we take the time to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style to create a plan that is tailored specifically to them.   

4. In addition, we place a strong emphasis on communication and collaboration with parents. We believe that parents play a crucial role in their child's education and strive to keep them informed and involved every step of the way. 

Overall, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized educational support to children and families in the NYC area. We are constantly looking for ways to improve and expand our services to meet the needs of the children and families we serve.

5. What do you feel gives you longevity in the industry with so many options?

My dedication to providing high-quality, personalized educational support, combined with our commitment to continuous improvement, is what I believe sets Education by SR apart and gives us longevity in the industry.

6. How do you positively impact your clientele?

      As the owner and lead educator of Education By SR, I am dedicated to positively impacting my students and their families. I do this by creating a supportive and engaging environment where children can grow and be excited about learning. One of the best outcomes of my program is seeing children's confidence grow as they learn and succeed. This increased confidence not only translates into the classroom, but also fosters a love of learning that can last a lifetime. I also work closely with parents to ensure that their child's educational journey is a success, and I am always available to answer questions, provide guidance, and support families in any way I can. Overall, my goal is to empower children to reach their full potential and be confident, happy learners. I believe that with the right support and guidance, every child has the potential to succeed, and it is my privilege to be a part of that journey.

7. What is your favorite part of your job?

My favorite part of my job is seeing my students succeed and grow. There are so many moments of success that bring me joy and fulfillment, from the first time a student writes their name to the moment they finish their first chapter book. I also love the opportunity to get to know my students as individuals and to watch them develop their own unique interests and passions. It is a privilege to be a part of their learning journey and to support them as they grow and discover the world around them.

8. What is the most memorable feedback a client/ has given you?

One of the most memorable types of feedback I have received from clients is when parents call or message me to share how their child is using the skills and knowledge they have learned with me in their everyday lives. For example, hearing from a parent that their child is now able to confidently recite the alphabet or count to 20 on their own is a truly rewarding experience. It is a testament to the progress and growth that the child has made, and it is a reminder of the impact that my teaching has had on their lives. Overall, receiving updates from parents about their child's progress and success is one of the most meaningful and memorable types of feedback I have received. It is a reminder of the important work that I do and the difference I am making in the lives of my students and their families.

 9. What is the best advice anyone's ever given you? Or what is your "mantra" / words to live by?

The best advice I have ever received is to always keep learning. I believe that this is an important mantra to live by, as it reminds us that there is always more to learn and discover, and that we should never stop striving to improve ourselves and our understanding of the world.
